Welcome
to 4-H in the Classroom !
Each

their teaching. The classroom becomes a 4-H group, the students 4-H
members and the teacher is the 4-H advisor. There is a variety of
4-H materials that teach on a variety of science related topics.
Teachers find that the materials help them make education fun and exciting,
plus meet specific curriculum needs. In 2007, 12 classrooms used

About 4-H in the Classroom
The Champaign county office of OSU Extension has had funding reduced by
state and county government and is will be working with less staff and
reduced money for travel and supplies. We will continue to make available
the School Enrichment projects listed below but only if they are done as
"4-H groups". This requires the teacher to complete the group enrollment
form (simple) and the teacher becomes the 4-H advisor. For a Champaign
county teacher to get more information or to sign up, contact the Champaign
county office of OSU Extension at 937-484-1526.

Information & Updates
These are the most popular School Enrichment projects for use in classrooms:

pay for the cost of supplies (flour) that is not already on-hand. The Teaching Manual is $11.50.
