  1. Cover Crop Field Day-CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER

    Mar. 31, 2016 9:30am to 11:30am

    We will spend time walking a few fields planted to various cover crops evaluating the stand, mixtures and soil health. George Derringer, NRCS Soil Scientist, will be leading the discussion.  The location is east of Urbana, 1/3 mile north of US Hwy 36 on North Mutual Union Road. The field day will be held with light rain but cancelled if there is heavy rain or a storm predicted so please dress appropriately.

  2. Quality Assurance Training

    Mar. 29, 2016 6:30pm

    All 4-H and FFA members who carry a market animal project (beef steer, dairy steer, dairy feeder, beef feeder, lactating dairy cow, market goat, lactating dairy goat, market lamb, market swine, market poultry) must attend one Quality Assurance training session. Failure to attend will result in the animal(s) not being allowed to participate in the 2016 Champaign County Fair.

    Last year we had an outstanding show of support and a record amount collected. The money brought in was put to good use towards scholarships, prizes and awards for deserving 4-H members.

  9. 4-H Button Days

    Last year we had an outstanding show of support and a record amount collected. The money brought in was put to good use towards scholarships, prizes and awards for deserving 4-H members. Various business owners or managers graciously allowed our 4-H members to stand in front of their businesses to collect money in exchange for a 4-H button or sticker. Please consider donating if you see 4-H members collecting.
