A private applicator applies restricted-use pesticides on his/her own land or rented land, and produces an agricultural commodity. Want to learn more about becoming a licensed private aplicator? Visit web site http://pested.osu.edu/privateapplicator for the license procedure.
Each private applicator will need to take the Core test (general safety for the applicator and the environment) and the category(ies) that correspond to the crops he/she grows. For example, an applicator who grown corn and soybeans will need to take the Core and Category 1 exam.
Our objective will be to offer you exam preparation for Core and Category 1 and to share with you how to prepare for the category tests.
Pre-registration and pre-payment are required for this event, which costs $10 per person and includes materials. Registration deadline is March 5. Please contact or visit the Extension Office to arrange registration.
