One of the most coveted awards in the Champaign county 4-H program is being named the 4-H Boy of the Year or 4-H Girl of the Year.  Each year the top boy and girl in the county 4-H program is named at the county fair as the recipient of this award.  The announcement is made in front of the Grandstand, Sunday of the county fair, following the crowning of the Fair Queen. Winners do not know in advance.

Below is a link to the winners since the awards were first given.  Note: the "4-H Girl of the Year" started in 1949, while the "4-H Boy of the Year" started in 1954.
