The Ohio Department of Health now requires all food service facilities licensed at a 'Risk Level 3 or higher' to have at least one staff person who has completed an ODH approved Level 2 Food Safety training. Link to Ohio Department of Health's Food Safety Ohio Certification webpage

Champaign County Extension Office can offer ServSafeTM in person at the Champaign County Community Center, or you can complete the online course at your own speed and at a time that works for your schedule. Then, once the training is completed, you will take an in-person proctored certification exam at the OSU Extension, Champaign County office.


ServSafeTM Food Safety Training

The ServSafeTM program is the industry standard in food-safety training. The ServSafeTM program provides accurate, up-to-date information for all levels of employees in handling food, from receiving and storing to preparing and serving.

Employee Food Safety Training
(Level 1)

Following completion of this 4 hour course, your employee will receive a certificate of completion. This class meets the guidelines of the Ohio Department of Health's Level One certification in Food Protection. Dates and details in the brochure link below

ServSafe™ Manager Training
(Level 2)

You will learn new and revised food safety and health regulations in this sixteen hour class. Following successful examination, you will be certified by the National Restaurant and the Ohio Department of Health. Dates and details in the brochure link below

**Cancellation Policy**

Registration fees cannot be refunded. If notification of your inability to attend is received prior to the first session of the program, your paid registration will be honored at the next program offered by OSU Extension Champaign County. You must be officially enrolled in the new class prior to its registration deadline.
