Our Extension office provides testing of your presssure canner. Pressure canner testing is recommend every year, and provides you with the peace of mind of canning your goods safely. We offer testing year round at no cost to county residents.

You will need to bring your canner + lid, seals and gauges. You will be provided canning materials and inspection form after testing.
The Ohio State University Extension Family and Consumer Sciences' home food preservation workshops focus on teaching the basics of canning, freezing and other methods of food preservation. Classes typically address:
