What is Successful Co-Parenting?  Successful Co-Parenting is an educational program that helps parents minimize the negative effects of separation and divorce on children as they adjust to the process of parenting together while living apart.  It is offered in cooperation with the Champaign County Common Pleas Courts and conducted by Sofia Carter, Champaign County Family & Consumer Science Educator.  Parents can register to attend the course outside of the court system if co-parenting education is of interest.

How Do I Register?  Once you know the date and time you wish to attend, pre-registration is required one week prior to your selected program date.  To register or for more information, contact OSU Extension, Champaign County or click the registration icon below.  Child care is not provided.  Failure to pre-register may result in class cancellation or not having a prepared certificate of participation.  If participants arrive more than 15 minutes late, they must attend the next month's session.

What is the Fee?  Registration fees are $30 per person and are due one week before the session.  Cash, checks, and credit card pre-payments are all accepted at the OSU Extension office, or pay online.

Certificates:  Certificates will be given at the end of the session to those attending who have paid the fee.  Copies of the certificates will be sent to the Common Pleas Courts to be filed, if required by the court.

Where Are Classes Located?  All classes are held in the Champaign County Community Building, which is located at 1512 S US Hwy 68 in Urbana, Ohio 43078 in the Conference Room B or C.  For questions, contact our office at 937-484-1526.
