Master Gradener Volunteers offer homeowners answers & advice for common landscape and garden questions. Champaign County has a diverse group of Master Gardener Volunteers who have gone through training. Our group is available to answer questions during the growing season, May through September.
To request assistance, you may contact the MGV Horticulture Helpline at 937-772-6020. Leave a message on the helpline, and a Master Gardener Volunteer will return your call within 2 business days beginning Memorial Day, through Labor Day.
If your question involves plant identification or a more specific issue, the volunteer may need to see a sample leaf or plant in order to correctly address your question or concern. You are welcome to drop off your sample at the Champaign County office of Ohio State University Extension during our business hours as noted. You may also choose to email the Champaign County OSU Extension office a close-up, clear picture of a sample. We can reach out to a gardener from the office on your behalf if you choose to email or bring in a sample rather than call.
